Sick people healed on Radio phone-in

Thursday, August 26th, saw amazing events as the Lord’s plan came into play. Tommy Marren, host of the hugely popular “Connaught Gold” prime time talk show invited Paul and Harry onto the show via a telephone link-up.  It was broadcast on Mid West Radio station and simultaneously broadcast on North-West Radio to 68% of the local population in Sligo and surrounding counties as well as across the world via the Internet. 

Our understanding was that it would be a ten-minute interview. The listenership were made up of honest, uncomplicated communities that did not want deep theological debate but gratefully responded in their thousands to the simple message of Jesus’ Love, how He had demonstrated that love and the eternal consequences of accepting and trusting in Jesus Christ alone.  They were also convinced by the demonstration of power and anointing LIVE on-air. The listener’s response was so overwhelming that they turned the whole show over to us whilst we preached and explained the Word of God. 

After pleasantries were exchanged, Tommy, a friendly professional broadcaster, began by saying “I’m very sceptical, I tell you right from the start.” These were his frank but honest opening words as he interviewed the Five Fold Ministry Ireland on MidWest Radio’s “Golden Connaught Show”, an immensely popular regional radio programme in the province of Connaught in Ireland.

Little did he know that within 30 minutes the Lord would turn his world upside down and leave him telling the listeners, that he agreed that “this is the genuine thing” and also admitting that he was ‘a little scared’ when he witnessed the awesome Power of Our Living God Jesus Christ.

“I have to tell you, I am very, very skeptical about these sorts of things. We see them all the time, even this week, but I am not convinced,” he added.
“Tell me Harry, is this really true? Can this man Paul heal people? I mean heal people, even on-air?” (No one had been talking about healing on-air)
“No, of course not. Paul can’t heal anyone”, I replied.
There was a deathly silence. Then he spluttered, “But it says here that you are one of the most powerful healing ministries in the world?” (referring to our press release).

“Yes… the Five Fold Ministry Ireland is one of the most powerful healing ministries in the world… BUT…”

“That’s correct Tommy. The Five Fold Ministry Ireland is one of the most powerful healing ministries in the world. But Paul himself would be the first to admit that he couldn’t heal a fly with a broken wing. That’s because there is only one healer and that is Jesus Christ. Jesus will and always does heal at every Five Fold meeting.”
Then the radio station sprang a “surprise” on us and had a sick lady ring in. “We have some very ill people here on the other end of the line. Will you heal them?” the interviewer asked Paul. “No”, he replied, “but Jesus will”.

The lady was crippled from an extreme form of arthritis, had been in constant pain for years having great difficulty in climbing stairs. Paul after explaining the significance of the repentance prayer asked,”Will you say this prayer with me?” The lady repented and accepted Jesus.

Paul pronounced,” Jesus is going to heal you.” After a few minutes, the lady gasped and said, “Oh my God, my pain is all gone”. She began to thank Paul. She was in her own words instantly healed, saying on-air, that “it was a miracle”.
Paul said repeatedly, “Thank God. Thank Jesus not me. It’s not me who healed you. Jesus Christ has healed you but wait. He’s not finished.
How do you feel?” She described the intense heat going through her body. Paul again explained that this was the Holy Spirit and then went on to say, “now you are going to do something that you could not do. I want you to stand up”. (She apparently had great difficulty in walking). She stood up. He said, “walk”. She walked. “Run around the room”. She hurried around the room.
The interviewer was astounded. “I have never heard of anything like this in all my years of broadcasting” while he repeatedly assured listeners, “This is not a set-up. These people were not warned about this. This is incredible”.

He asked, “Does this always happen? God told Paul what to answer.
“Not only that but if you bring sick people to the station on Friday 10th, we will come to your station and God will touch them right there in-studio” invited Paul. The host agreed. The programme ran over so much it had to be cut off.

That night the radio reran the interview and next day another lady who had said the repentance prayer when the first lady had been doing so, was also instantly healed, to the amazement of her entire family. They testified that she had been ill for six years and had been scheduled for surgery. Over the following week similar reports were received back.

That day, however, the station was so flooded with callers that they put out an appeal on air saying that they had received numerous phone calls and that all their telephone lines were blocked. They also announced that they had received a huge amount of emails, appealing over the air for listeners to stop emailing and phoning but write and post instead.
The show host then invited Paul and Harry back to appear on an unprecedented, two-hour, prime time special exclusively for the Five Fold Ministry. Sick people were to be selected from hundreds who contacted the station and we believed that Jesus would touch them.
