Miracles Confirmed By Jesus Enemies
31 Again the Jews picked up stones to stone him, 32 but Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many great miracles from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?”
33 “We are not stoning you for any of these,” replied the Jews, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.”
The crowd and the Jewish leaders mocked Jesus, saying, “He saved others; himself he cannot save…” Matt 27:42 kjv.
“He saved others..” Ironic again that little did they realise they were actually testifying to the Glory of God that Jesus healed and saved others.
So when the centurion, who stood opposite Him, saw that He cried out like this and breathed His last, he said, “Truly this Man was the Son of God!” Mark 15:39 NKJV
4 Kinds of Miracles in the Bible
• Death: Raised the dead.
• Hell: Cast out demons.
• Disease: Healed the sick.
• Nature: Showed power over forces of nature.
2 Purposes of New Testament Miracles
1. To show that Jesus is God, doing the works of God. (Power)
2. To help people in need. (Mercy)
