DERRY/L’Derry

Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. John 8:36

Miracles & Wonders

Greetings in the Name above all Names, Jesus Christ, to all our brothers and sisters who were used by God in praying in agreement for a harvest at the God-ordained outreach in the then divided City of Derry.

Our small team numbering only eight made by hand (d.i.y.), delivered and erected 140 billboards, lifting up the Name of Jesus across the city. (No evangelist name appeared on the boards or any other publicity material, so as to lift up only the Name of Jesus).  They had also distributed over five thousand door-to-door leaflets and thousands of shop window posters. (After the event all returned to their full-time occupations which finance the outreaches.)

In Derry, a small team of three / four catholic unemployed men also volunteered and helped enormously. (They later accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour.). The freeing of the city was almost tangible as it was immersed in prayer by our P.W. Partners around the globe and as God surrounded the area with His Angels

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14

The friendly BBC radio station interviewers had promised two ten minute slots on their prime time talk show but ended up cancelling other interviews and gave Paul and Harry two half-hour slots free allowing them to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and discuss His Healing Power.

On that Spirit-filled night, God drew to Him the largest crowd ever seen at the Rialto for a Christian meeting. At the one and only altar call, virtually every man, woman and child, (who could) stood up as one to accept Jesus, then stood in line to individually be led in the repentance prayer.

We give thanks to God for abundantly answering your prayers with a mighty harvest of 530 Protestants, Catholics, people of faiths and people of none who stood shoulder to shoulder, under the same roof not to argue and debate over Religion or Politics but after worship and testimonies to proclaim their united love aloud, for the one and only Living God, Jesus Christ.

For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek; for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon HIM

Romans 10:12

This same 530 stood together in long queues for hours to individually repent and give their lives to Jesus. We thank God for the many thousands who repeated the repentance prayer. And also all those who were touched by God, as Isaiah 53 and the miracle prayer were read by Paul over the airwaves on the prime time, B.B.C.s’ Radio Foyle talk show.

500+ accept Jesus in Derry, Northern Ireland.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised HIM from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Romans 10:9

Parents wept as children were healed of crippling diseases. The deaf had hearing restored perfectly, partially sighted persons were healed. New believers prayed in thanks as they were freed from asthma, arthritis, migraine, drugs, alcohol etc.

The excited crowd almost overwhelmed the solitary evangelist so that all were reseated and asked to come out row by row. Time after time Jesus healed as hundreds were slain in the spirit. It was a wonderful night of reconciliation, healing and freeing and several exciting days when thousands were touched by Jesus over the airwaves, to the Glory of God.

Order restored, as crowd come forward row by row

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14

We give thanks for all the callers who inundated the radio station swamping their switchboard after the event, with live testimonies from people whose lives had been transformed by the Power of the Holy Spirit.

For four days afterwards, the airwaves at prime time on one of N.Irelands leading radio stations were largely given over to discussing the effect Jesus Christ was having on the city. A Blessed alternative to the daily spew of hate and violence revealed which after 30 years of shootings, hijackings, bomb explosions, had become ‘normal’ in Derry.

Evidence of Miraculous physical healing and freedom from pain, anxiety, worry, abounded both as a result of the outreach and of the broadcast. Praise His Holy Name for the oppressed throngs who could not discuss publicly the inner healing by our Loving God of heartbreaking grief, spiritual/supernatural problems, sexual and physical abuse and other heavy burdens

Do not believe Me unless I do what My Father does. But if I do it, even though you do not believe Me, believe the miracles, that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I in the Father”

John 10:37-38

However, we know this to be only a nucleus** of what God is about to do in Derry. What Jesus did on that memorable night was to plant the seed of life in a dying city. A seed which will grow and blossom and envelop the people there with His Goodness and Love. Peace and Prosperity will follow.

Already prayer groups are forming. More souls have been led to the Lord as daily, callers contact the radio station and some of the baby Christians for copies of the repentance prayer to repent and turn to Jesus and to live in a deeper relationship with Him.

We cannot thank enough all you prayer warriors and intercessors who have selflessly given prayerful support to the Lord’s work. Grateful thanks are also extended to Foyle Radio station and Derry City council for their kind cooperation. Please keep them in your prayers.

“This was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes.”

Mark 12:11

** Update: Derry once a Northern Ireland black spot has prospered tremendously.

  • Voted the U.K.’s first City of Culture.
  • Thousands of people attended the All Ireland Fleadh Cheoil in Derry in 2013.
  • Derry’s tourism infrastructure underwent a huge makeover- a process that continues. This has included an overhaul of Guildhall Square and Waterloo Place as well as the development of the city’s new maritime museum at Ebrington Square.
  • A vibrant, beautiful waterfront amenity has developed akin to what one would see in the South of France with boats and yachts moored alongside quaint river side coffee shops, world-class restaurants, plush hotels and cavernous modern shopping centres.
  • Big events like the Clipper festival, the Fleadh and the Return of Colmcille and a host of culture events and international festivals show Derry is the ‘Go-to’ tourism spot in Northern Ireland.
